Nate and Jess first crossed paths while sailing in Croatia in 2017, but it wasn't until the summer of 2018 that they decided to give this thing a shot. Their love blossomed during a sailing trip in Sardinia, Italy and from that moment, there was no turning back.

In the fall of 2018, Jess made the decision to move to Seattle, where their love truly took root. Together, they adopted a sweet kitty named Dennis, who has brought endless joy to their lives. Shortly after, they welcomed Talia, Nate's beloved childhood pet, into their growing family.

Nate and Jess share a passion for the great outdoors. Whether they are backpacking through mountains, camping under the stars, sailing on the water, or exploring far-off destinations, they find their greatest happiness in each other's company while enjoying their adventures.

After three years in Seattle, their journey took them to Ann Arbor, Michigan, where Nate is pursuing his PhD (Go Blue!). This new chapter in their lives was marked by an important milestone in the summer of 2022. While backpacking in the Cascade Mountains, Nate surprised Jess by getting down on one knee and asking the most exciting question of their lives. What made it even more special was that Nate had secretly invited their closest friends to join them in celebrating this beautiful moment.
